I’ve been looking for a good way to highlight the new “Open ODR66” and specifically, how to make sure everyone can see the impact of the donations which keep us afloat. It will be updated at least once a week.

So many of you have given generously of the years, and this section will allow everyone to clearly see our financial situation, as well as important renewal dates for the server.

Scan along the top tool bar, find Balance Sheet and check it out.

So the final day is here, will the ODR66 Server #1 shut off at midnight?

NO WAY!

Thanks to the generosity of our many community members server #1 will be alive and well for the foreseeable future. The donations brought us within a few dollars of the required amount (once paypal took their cut), and I chipped in the rest.

Thank you again to everyone who donated, and for helping to keep the dream alive.

If you havn’t yet had the opportunity to donate, but would still like to do so, please feel free. We will need help to continue in the Q4 period renewal at the end of October.

Tomorrow is the last day of our donation push. If you haven’t gotten around to pitching in yet, tomorrow is the last day to help us meet our Q3 budgetary needs.

My personal thanks goes out to everyone who has chipped in during these hard times to keep ODR Server #1 going strong.

Please take a moment to thank these people when you see them playing online, give them an uber, or perhaps just not stab them in the back, however you see fit to express your gratitude.

We are now very close to reaching our goal with only $84 more to go. With only 2 more days to go the pressure is on, but I know we can reach this goal if we try.

Unfortunately we only received one additional donation so far, and if we can’t do better than this, the server cannot remain financially feasable.

I understand that not everybody is in a position to give, so if you cannot donate funds to the server, please donate your time. Get the word out to other members of the community, help draw their attention to ODR66 and do what you can to pitch in.

I would also welcome any suggestions you may have that would help us with the funding issue. I’m strongly considering adding advertisements to the forums and blog to help out as well, though the effect of that wouldn’t be immediate.
