Hey all,
Some big changes are about to be made to our web forums. In an effort to combat the ongoing spam problem, we will be switching our forums to SMF (we currently use phpBB) in the near future. We weren’t originally planning on making the switch so soon, but the spam attempts have gotten much more vicious over the past few days, so we feel it is best to make the switch ASAP.
The installation of SMF will most likely take place on Thursday night. It is possible to convert a phpBB database to an SMF one, so all of the existing posts will most likely be transfered, and you should be able to use your current username once we’ve made the switch (without having to reregister). I do not know whether or not if users will have to reset their passwords, but I will be sure to let all of you know once I know the answer to that.
Cheers,
Mark
Hey all, a few updates regarding the server and the clan.
First of all i’d like to welcome Slayer back into the clan! We are all very glad to have you back and we all hope to keep on gaming with you in the near future.
Second, the map vote for the new rotation on the server is finished with:
cp_dustbowl
cp_freight_final1
cp_gravelpit
pl_badwater
pl_goldrush
pl_thundermountain
pl_upward
set as the new rotation. However, in the vote there is a three-way tie deciding for the last map and I have started a new thread located here (http://www.odr66.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=2219) which will then decide on the last map to be included in the rotation. Please cast your votes!
Third, I have fixed the long-standing AFK issue plaguing the server. When somebody is AFK for 3 minutes they’ll be moved to spectate, and if they are AFK for another 3 they will be kicked from the server (instead of reconnecting constantly).
First of all I would like to a big welcome to Nuka-Cola for joining our community! He has been a respected regular of the server for a long time now and is a well-deserving candidate of our team. Go welcome him here! http://www.odr66.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=2206
As far as other news with the clan goes,
The clan roster has been updated. http://www.odr66.com/team-roster/
Nuka-Cola, squirtbrnr, Axon, and doctorcameltoe now have admin access on our server. Sevirath and Real Killa’s admin access has been fixed and restored. If any of you are unaware on how to access your admin powers, open your admin menu by typing “sm_admin” in the game console. If you’re having any trouble with this please contact me!
Our competitive team, [4TC] (For The Community) has been reinstated and will soon be practicing and playing in scrims. Sign up in this thread if you are interested! http://www.odr66.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=2204&start=0
I’d like to personally welcome,
Axon
squirtbrnr
and back from ex-clan status.. Real Killa! Thank you all for showing your support and dedication to our community, and you will all fit right in with the rest of us. See you all in-game!

Hey all, it’s time again for another map vote to keep things fresh and interesting in our community.
Please check out the thread here and cast your votes! http://www.odr66.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=2197
Also check out the other server happenings here! http://www.odr66.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=2198
In addition to this, there is some other news. If you are not aware, me and foilking have stepped up as co-leaders of the Order 66 Gaming Community and any questions or concerns regarding the clan can be posted to the forums (http://www.odr66.com/forums/) which have been reworked, or you may contact us directly via steam.
I have reworded the daily awards on our gameME stat page (http://bvr.gameme.com/) so now it will be much easier to sort through by specific class rather than the scavenger hunt it was before. Or you can look to see if you got the award for most guitar taunt kills! Okay, maybe not that so much.
Keep on gaming, folks!
The new [ODR66] Left For Dead 2 Community server is up and running, and while the dedicated server support isn’t perfect, it is still much improved over the original.
The easiest way to join is to be part of the [ODR66] Community Group, at which point it will show up normally in your game, but this method only allows you to join, and vote for new maps in-game.
If you want to connect from a lobby and set your own rules, use the following method:
1.) Enter the settings menu and make sure you enable “Developers Console”
2.) Enter the Console by pressing the ~ key (its the key directly to the left of the “1” key.
3.) Type sv_search_key odr66 (then press enter)
4.) Now create a lobby and launch!
If nobody is online to play with when you launch don’t worry about it, once in-game I find it fills fast! As long as at least one person is in it, it usually never takes more than a few min.
Let me know if you have any issues using it, and hope more people will make use of it this time!
Enjoy!

A database problem with our provider has temporarily knocked out in-game admin functions.
This should be a temporary problem, and i’ll let you know when they have it fixed.
I’ve fixed up the administrative permissions for all active ODR66 members, and I would ask that you help us to continue growing our community page with new recruits.
Send along invites to everyone you play with on the server, and lets try to bring more people into the community to help bolster our populations.

Bell customers should notice that pings have improved significantly over what they have been seeing the past few days on our new primary server. The issue was a routing problem caused by Bell, and was never a problem with the quality, or configuration of the server.
I’m pleased with the new GSP’s ability to track down the issue, and get the ISP to take action. It would have been very easy for them to dismiss this issue as “not their problem”.
Please join us on our newly upgraded high performance server.
Thanks!

There is a known (and hopefully temporary) issue with our new Community Server #1 and Bell DSL customers. Below is the response from our new Game Server Provider:

Rogers customers normally ping 5-10ms as im on Rogers myself I noticed today its abit higher than usual.
I will investigate the Rogers pings now.
As for Bell. Our Bell customers use to ping 20ms up to 1 month ago. Bell made some routing changes which affected routing to our servers.
I currently have a ticket open with my transit provider to fix the Bell issue.
You can see on our forums we are actively pursuing this issue as its affecting all our customers.

PS: what was the IP of your old GSP

If your on Bell DSL, please consider visiting our forum thread on the issue to help us collect as much information as possible on the issue.
